This has been quite a busy day, but I still somehow thought I’d be able to ride for an hour. Did I? No. But I did do 40 minutes broken up! Sometimes you just have to get it in any way you can.
When I’m not sure how much time I’m going to have I really love to start out with a Tabata ride. I know I’ll burn a ton of calories and feel great whether I do anything else or not, so that’s nice.
I will say that Ally pulled a fast one on me during this ride! Tabata is hard, so I wanted my second ride to be a “fun-first” ride. When she starts detailing the plan for the class, the first thing she said was “we’re going to have one block of classic Tabata.” My face when she said that… it was not a happy face. I signed up for 20 minutes of that before this ride, but I did NOT sign up for more. Ultimately it went fine, but it was tough doing another round.
I hope to do more tomorrow because I definitely enjoy it so much. It’s such a crazy feeling to go from minimal or no exercise to feeling sad if it’s “only” 30 or 40 minutes.
Happy Hump Day, y’all!
